They’re totes in love.

Back in the early to mid-aughts, there was almost nowhere — from airport to slumber party —  you didn’t take your colorful, quilted Vera Bradley tote bag.

Now, after years spent collecting dust at the back of closets, the blast-from-the-past padded, floral accessories are enjoying a major comeback, thanks to a host of eager Gen Z and millennial creators on TikTok.

Sporting a large blue, orange and white paisley tote, 22-year-old Darcy McQueeny recently posted a video claiming that “only the hottest b–ches still carry Vera Bradley duffels. And that’s a fact.”

She’s not the only one: The #VeraBradley hashtag has 102.2 million views, with #VeraBradleypartner behind it at 4.7M views, and #VeraBradleygirls at #1.3M.

McQueeny’s video got nearly 80,000 likes, with several people commenting their delight at the bag’s nostalgia.

“Brings me back to my childhood,” one person wrote. “A sleepover isn’t a sleepover without a Vera Bradley duffle,” another chimed in.

Others have taken note and plan to bring their old bags out of storage and reintegrate them into their wardrobes, too.

“Defrosting my 2016 Vera Bradley obsession every time I go out of town,” EternityDancee wrote along with a video showcasing her multi-piece Vera Bradley collection, including multiple makeup bags, a sunglasses case and a duvet cover.

“My sister’s Vera Bradley is old enough to buy alcohol,” one commenter wrote.

Madisson Lynn, a self-proclaimed “fashion girlie,” is “very confident” that Vera Bradley is going to make a comeback.

“The dainty, floral quilted look is in right now,” Madisson posited while showing viewers some vintage Vera finds she found at the thrift store. Her collection includes a yellow crossbody bag with green and pink detailing and a pink tote with the brand’s signature paisley print.

“Literally seeing this as I pack my duffle bag from 14 years ago,” one user said.

Of course, the styles of the Fort Wayne, Indiana-based label are far from the only trend from the aughts making a comeback. Gen Z has seemingly brought many dead trends back from the grave, including the dress-over-jeans look and jorts.
